To dehydrat athletics tracks most often is used ACO SPORT system 1000. Consists of polymerconcrete channels open and slotted together with plastic covers. In addition to drainage, system acts as a treadmill boundary line from the inside - in accordance with the IAAF.

Channels and cover a length of 100 cm and appear as straight sections or arc with a radius of 36.5 m (on request may be different radius). The collected water is discharged to the catch basins units which are connected to the storm water drainage syste. The variety of components allows optimal choise, taking into account the type of raceway surface and any difference in height between the track and the adjacent area.

Slotted channels are designed for installation in a raceway located at the same height as the adjacent segment. Depending on the needs may be covered with a 13 mm layer of artificial turf or be fitted with a plastic cover or plug in flexible profile (transition zones). Unlike the open channels, slotted must always have a slit-shaped plastic cover. Can be built around the treadmill perimeter with the exception of the transition zone for equipment (machines) and people.

In cases where the level of the treadmill is 5 cm below the level of the field to the other of the adjacent segment of the stadium, channels with the open side and one edge rised acting as increased support for the turf should be used.

 

The system includes: channels simple, curved and raised edge, with different radius, plastic cover, drainage box with a basket of galvanized steel, end walls.
